The form starts a conversation rather than producing a price. What sets a Hampshire figure — volume, the staircase, the lane, packing depth and whether anything is held — cannot be read off a web form.

The two most useful things in the notes: roughly when the house was built, and what the approach looks like.

What happens next

01 You send this Seven fields, two optional. If the date is not settled, leave it blank — most people do.
02 We come back Usually asking about the staircase or the approach, because those are what a form cannot see.
03 Survey Free, in person across the county. For anything period, listed or down a track we would rather come and look.
04 Written quotation Against a measured volume and a stated packing depth, saying what would change it.

Period or listed?

Say so, and tell us about the staircase. Period and listed houses explains what the survey measures.

Down a track?

Give us the surface and the narrowest point. Rural properties covers how shuttling works.

Dates not lined up?

Leave the date blank. Goods can be collected on the date that is fixed and held until the other one lands.

Going overseas?

Name the country in the notes. The customs file takes far longer to assemble than the packing — see moving overseas.
